Airport Arrivals

Where will you meet us when we get back?

Your driver will meet you at Arrivals. He/she will have your mobile number, and be in touch with you as soon as you arrive, in order to co-ordinate where he/she will be waiting.

If my flight is delayed, will there be any extra charge if the driver has to wait?

There will be no charge for the first hour, then a £15.00 charge every 30 minutes thereafter.

Will return flight times be monitored?

Yes – All flights are monitored, in order to reduce the possibility of delay charges being incurred.

Do your charges include parking fees at the airport if necessary?

Yes – Our charges cover all airport parking fees, apart from those brought about by late incoming flights.

How do I book an airport transfer?

You can book by phone to check the availability of a car and driver. This would then need to be confirmed by email, giving full details of travel dates, flight departure and arrival times, the number of people travelling together, pick up and return address information, and contact numbers (including a mobile number for contact at the airport).

What method of payment can I use?

Payment can be made by credit card, bank transfer, or cheque (10 days before travel). We can accept cash payments, but prefer the methods of payment listed above for airport transfers.

There are four of us travelling. Will you have enough space for luggage?

Yes – Your vehicle will be a Mercedes Vito (extra-long wheelbase), which can carry up to 8 people, and has ample space for luggage.

Booking and Payment

Can I book in advance?

Yes – We are happy to take advance bookings for long or short journeys.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash and all major credit or debit cards. Please note that we do not accept cheques.

What are your rates? Are there different rates for after midnight for instance?

Journeys made Monday to Friday between 6:00am and 5:59pm are charged at £3.00 per mile. Journeys made Monday to Friday between 6:00pm and 5:59am the following day are charged at £4.00 per mile. Journeys made Saturday 6:00am until 5:59am the following day are charged at £4.00 per mile. Journeys made Sunday 6:00am until 5:59am the following day are charged at £4.00 per mile. Journeys made between 6:00pm on the 24th December and 11:59pm on the 5th January will be charged at £8.00 per mile. For 5 – 8 passengers, the appropriate surcharge will be applied to the revised price.

Is there a minimum travel distance or charge?

We don’t have a minimum travel distance, but our minimum charge for any journey is £7.00, which is just over 2 miles of travel.

Can I open a business account with you?

I’m planning an outing for the family and wondered if we could meet to discuss our transport requirements?

Here at Take Me Home James Network UK Limited, we are committed to providing the best possible service, and would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss your travel requirements.

Is it better to book in advance?

Yes – We appreciate clients who communicate their plans in advance, and pre-bookings will always take priority. To guarantee a return pickup for example, we always recommend booking in advance.

Our Drivers

Are all your drivers licensed with the local authority?

Yes – It is a legal requirement for all our drivers to be licenced individually with the local authority, and all our drivers have met the strict criteria for registration.

Are all your drivers are CRB checked?

Yes – We offer complete peace of mind, in that all our drivers have been CRB checked.

Are your drivers first aid trained?

Yes – All our drivers undergo a 3 day St John’s Ambulance first aid training course, and attend regular refresher courses.

How well qualified are your drivers? Do you offer your drivers any special training in safety and driving skills?

All our drivers have an annual assessment. This is one of the conditions of having a Private Hire licence, and the company also invests heavily in driver skills training, as part of our mission to provide the best possible customer service.

Our Services

Can your vehicles be booked for a special occasion, such as a birthday or anniversary?

Yes – We can cater for any special occasion, including birthday or anniversary meals or evenings out, as part of our chauffeur service. Our driver can wait for you while you enjoy your evening, and return you home if required.

Can you provide transport for a lady’s shopping day out or other visit?

Yes – We are happy to help organise your day, and provide a chauffeur service to venues such as the shopping centre at Bicester, or a trip to the races.

Can you provide a shuttle service from the church to our reception for our wedding guests?

Yes – We would be delighted to be part of your special day, and offer a wedding shuttle service for your guests.

I’m organising a celebration party at home. Could I book transport for some of our guests?

Yes – That would be no problem at all. We would be happy to contribute to the smooth running of your evening.

Can you pick up and take staff members to meetings/airports as required?

Yes – Take Me Home James Network UK Limited is happy to undertake any such corporate travel requirements.

How important is punctuality to you? I have booked taxis in the past and been disappointed with them arriving late.

Extremely – If we say we are going to pick you up at 10pm we will be there at 10pm, unless something untoward happens. Our booking system does not allow anyone else to ‘jump the queue’, and we have a commitment to clients pre-booking, always giving them priority.

What are your hours of operation?

Take Me Home James Network UK Limited is operational 24 hours a day, 6 days a week (from 0600 Monday to 0600 hours Sunday. We are not currently operational between 0600 Sunday and 0600 Monday.

Do you cater for booster seats and child seats?

Yes – We cater for both, and can provide up to two child seats for your journey. If you would like child seats for your journey, please notify us when making your booking.

Our Vehicles

What vehicles do you have for hire?

Our fleet consists of Mercedes vehicles, including extra-long wheel base Mercedes Vitos and long wheel base Mercedes S Classes.

How many people can your vehicles carry?

In our Mercedes Vitos we carry up to 8 passengers and your driver. In our Mercedes cars we can carry up to 4 passengers and your driver.

Are your vehicles regularly cleaned and inspected?

Yes – Our vehicles are washed and valeted regularly, as it is our aim to provide the highest quality of service for your clients. Attention to detail in this regard is an essential requirement for all our drivers.

Are your vehicles regularly maintained and serviced?

Yes – As well as undergoing the statutory MOT checks for private hire vehicles, the company has a 12 weekly preventative maintenance plan for all vehicles.

Do your drivers perform daily vehicle checks when they start their shifts?

Yes – All drivers are required to perform daily checks of their vehicles including tyres, lights, oil, and cleanliness of the vehicle.

We take customer care very seriously, and ensure that all drivers go on a customer service induction, and are instructed on the high level of customer care that is central to the experience offered by Take Me Home James Network UK Limited.
